Healing after a breakup

Day 7 of 7

Rebuilding, one piece at a time

Healing is rarely a straight line, and a hard day later does not undo the progress you have made. Today, look at what you have tried this week and keep what helped. Then add one small thing that is only yours: an old hobby, a class, a walk you used to enjoy. A gentle note too: not every relationship that ends was a loving one. If a partner or ex controlled you, frightened you, cut you off from others or hurt you, that is abuse and it is never your fault. Please talk to someone you trust or a domestic abuse service near you. If you are in danger, call 112.

This program is for everyday heartbreak. If low mood lasts most of the day, every day, for more than two weeks, or you cannot eat, sleep or work, please see a doctor or counsellor. If a partner or ex controls, frightens, stalks or hurts you, that is abuse and it is not your fault. If you are in danger, call 112, and reach out to a domestic abuse service near you. If you have thoughts of ending your life, call Tele MANAS on 14416 or 112 now.
