A small ache, a skipped heartbeat, a mole that looks different today. Your mind asks, 'What if this is serious?' So you check your body, search online or ask someone. For a moment you feel a little better. But the worry returns, so you check again. Each time, your mind learns that checking is the only way to feel safe. This is the same loop behind many kinds of anxiety. Seeing it clearly is a good first step, and nothing to be ashamed of. Please remember, anxious people get ill too. Any new or worrying symptom should be seen by a doctor. This program is about the worry that stays after that.
