When the bigger picture is unclear, small routines give a day some shape. The NHS suggests moving your body regularly, eating regular meals and setting small, achievable goals rather than trying to do everything at once. That might be a fixed bedtime, a short walk, tea at the same hour. You do not need a new life this week. You need a day that has a few steady points in it. Try to avoid using alcohol, cigarettes or drugs to numb the pain, as they can make mental health worse. Pick two tiny routines, and let a missed day be only a missed day.
