If something worries you, see a doctor, who can check whether there is a physical cause. A helpful pattern is one good check with a clear plan, and then not repeating it again and again. After a doctor has checked you, agree on what to watch for and when to come back. If new symptoms appear that are different or getting worse, go back. If it is the same worry in a new form, try to wait before checking again. Many people find that a supportive relationship with one caring doctor works better than many opinions and repeated tests. Today, write your plan down so you do not need to rely on memory when fear is loud.
