Start small

Day 6 of 7

Count the tiny wins

About 7 min

When motivation is low, the mind tends to count only what is undone. The NHS suggests noting what you have completed as you go. Today, start a tiny-wins list. Add everything, however small: replied to one message, washed the cups, sat down to study for five minutes. A list of what you did can show you that you are moving, even when it does not feel like it. It also gives you evidence to hold against the voice that says you do nothing. Keep it on paper or in your phone. Do not judge the list. Just add to it.
